Stewards for Kokanee with Gibson Ek High School

Join this very special community stewardship event hosted by students from Gibson Ek High School in parthership with the Lake Sammamish Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership (UWRP), Trout Unlimited (TU), Green Issaquah and the Snoqulamie Indian Tribe.

Students will lead the effort at Anthology Open Space to plant native trees and remove invasive species in the wetland area along a section of Tibbetts Creek. This special event is part of a Design Lab collaboration between Gibson Ek High School and Trout Unlimited focusing on kokanee salmon recovery and watershed health. Staff from Green Issaquah and the Snoqualmie Tribe will be there to support the event and provide outreach.
